Jerry West, the all-time greatest basketball player in West Virginia history, and John Beliein, former Mountaineer head coach, ran into each other at the NBA Combine yesterday. 

Sagaba Konate, after not being invited to the NBA Combine in Chicago despite an impressive showing at the G League Elite Camp, is hungry and humble. 

Dillon Spalding, a 6’2 210 Redshirt Freshman Wide Receiver out of Lorton, Virginia, has decided to enter the Transfer Portal.  Spalding sat out last season with an injury but had an outstanding touchdown catch from Trey Lowe at the end of the Gold-Blue Spring Game this season.

The quarterback competition at WVU was already interesting following the Gold-Blue Spring Game.  The performances of Austin Kendall, Jack Allison and Trey Lowe led to more questions than answers and the starter’s job was any one of the three player’s to lose.  Then, today, it got even more interesting when Bowling Green transfer Jarret Doege announced on Twitter that he is coming to West Virginia University.

Da’Sean Butler, one of the best players in West Virginia University basketball history, had his collegiate career come to an end in one of the most worse ways imaginable.

There is a lot of incredible talent down in Huntington Prep, but one player there could be the catalyst for a real National Championship run.  AJ Hoggard, the 6’3 210 pound point guard out of the Philadelphia area, is an absolute wrecking ball of a player.

Sagaba Konate, who scored 11 points and 12 rebounds on 5-14 from the field and 1-5 from three point range during a scrimmage game at the G League Elite Camp, was not one of ten players invited to participate in the NBA Combine.

Imagine that you have a son that is one of the elite basketball recruits in the country.  He’s narrowed his choices down to two identical teams, one coached by Bob Huggins and the other coached by John Beilein. 

Sagaba Konate, West Virginia University’s most elite shot-blocker in program history, competed in the NBA’s Developmental G League Elite Camp today and all signs point to his knee problems being a non-issue now.
