WVU Releases Bowl Game Depth Chart

WVU Releases Bowl Game Depth Chart

With the Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl coming up December 26, WVU releases their bowl game depth chart. Not good news for those hoping to see Will Grier starting.

Chris Chugunov  is listed as the first string quarterback for the Mountaineers, with David Israel listed as second string. A clear indication that the Mountaineers are not looking for Will Grier to start the game or be available.

On November 18 against Texas the Mountaineer starting quarterback suffered a serious injury to his finger. It later required surgery. Up until now it was unclear whether or not Grier was going to be available in the bowl games.

The Mountaineers will also be without senior starting running back Justin Crawford. He is sitting out the bowl game to make preparations  for the 2018 NFL Draft.

The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Utah Utes face off for the first time since 1964. Utah won the lone matchup between the two in 1964.
