WVU Ranked No. 11 In Preseason Men’s Basketball AP Top 25
The AP Top 25 men’s basketball poll has WVU ranked No. 11 for the 2017-2018 season. This is the third straight year Bob Huggins and company have been ranked.

The Mountaineers are looking to build off a 28-9 season where they made it to the Big 12 Championship game as well as the Sweet 16. WVU lost in the Sweet 16 to Gonzaga by a final score of 61-58. Gonzaga went on for an appearance in the national championship.
There are four WVU opponents who are ranked in this preseason poll. WVU opens the season with 25th ranked Teas A&M. In the SEC/Big 12 Challenge the Mountaineers will take on preseason No. 5 Kentucky. Fellow Big 12 members Kansas (No. 4) and Baylor (No. 24) are the two other ranked opponents.
The Mountaineers open up the season on Friday, November 10, at 6 p.m. when they travel to Ramstein, Germany to take on the Texas A&M Aggies on ESPN.
