Was Daxter Miles extra pumped up to take on a team that is from Baltimore, Miles’ hometown? It sure seemed like it. WVU and Miles crushed Morgan State, 111-48.
The Mountaineers started out the game on a 25-7 run up to the first media timeout. This was a rematch of the 2010 NCAA tournament game where the Mountaineers won 77 to 50 on their way to the Final Four.
The trademark Press Virginia style got to Morgan State early. They were forced into 15 turnovers in the first half. The pressure did not let up in the second half, either. For the game the Mountaineers turned 27 turnovers into 36 points.
