WVU Crushes Eastern Kentucky

How great it was to see the Mountaineers take the field. Neal Brown and company took care of business. WVU defeated Eastern Kentucky by a final score of 56-10.

The starters were pulled at the half. Jarret Doege was 19-of-25 for 228 yards. The ground game looked greatly improved with two running backs going over 100 yards on the ground. Both Leddie Brown and Alec Sinkfield had 123 yards and two rushing touchdowns each. Brown did it on 10 carries and added a touchdown reception while Sinkfield had 15 carries.

Sam James Jr. had 5 catches for 72 yards with a touchdown and Bryce Ford Wheaton had 4 catches for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Both Austin Kendall and Garrett Greene saw action at quarterback in the second half. If you stayed tuned in until the end, you had to like what you saw from Greene. He had 5 carries for 33 yards and was 3-of-4 through the air for 24 yards.
After a week off the Mountaineers head to Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys on September 26th.
