WVU Breaks Out Rare Uniform Combo For Baylor

On Saturday the Mountaineers take on the Baylor Bears at McLane Stadium. For this game WVU breaks out a rare uniform combo that hasn’t been worn since 2015. The Mountaineers record in the white helmets, white jerseys and blue pants is 1-1.

The first time the Mountaineers wore this combo was in 2014 against Iowa State. This was a big game for Skyler Howard. He threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns.

The next time the Mountaineers donned these uniforms was in a 2015 trip to Ft. Worth to take on the TCU Horned Frogs. TCU crushed WVU by a final score of 4010. This was the game where the infamous Trevone Boykin-Dana Holgorsen high five went down. Not a moment that Mountaineer fans enjoy reliving.

Let’s hope the Mountaineers get above .500 in these uniforms and take down winless Baylor. If they fail to do so, perhaps these uniforms should be retired forever.

Let’s go Mountaineers!
