It’s safe to say Will Grier was ready to put the Virginia Tech loss behind him. He’s doing just that. Will Grier with a historic effort against East Carolina.
Grier has thrown for 329 and 4 TDs, going 16-for-22. Grier is the best WVU quarterback to throw for 4 TDs in a half since Geno Smith.
David Sills V leads the charge with 6 catches for 149 yards and two scores. Marcus Simms got loose for a 52 yard touchdown. Ka’Raun White added another score to go with 4 catches for 49 yards.
Don’t forget about Justin Crawford who has 13 carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns, including a 41 yard score. The Mountaineers piled up 479 total yards.

WVU took a 14 to 3 lead on a 7 yard touchdown pass from Grier to White.
Kennedy McKoy took one in from 13 yards to extend the lead.
Justin Crawford blew this game wide open for a 41 yard touchdown run.
Finally Sills V ran through a busted coverage to haul in a 75 yard touchdown pass to give the Mountaineers a 49-3 halftime lead.
