McKivitz is a 2-time All-Big 12 Honorable mention, 3-time academic All-Big 12 second team, a three year starter for the Mountaineers, playing in 38 career games and starting in 35.
West Virginia coaches have gushed about McKivitz’s performance throughout the season. Matt Moore, the West Virginia offensive line coach stated, “They are fighting. It starts with Colton McKivitz. You know he’s a fighter. He comes out every day with a blue collar, hard hat mentality.”
The Reese’s Senior Bowl is a perfect place for McKivitz to showcase his talent for NFL scouts. McKivitz is projected as possibly moving to the Guard position at the next level.
