West Virginia Beats Nicholls State
The West Virginia Mountaineers beat the Nicholls State Colonels 83-57 to move to 9-1 on the season.
The Mountaineers were led by Derek Culver, who finished with 16 points (5-8 from the field) and 14 rebounds. Joining Culver with a double-double, Freshman Oscar Tshiebwe added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Miles McBride had 15 points and Sean McNeil added 10 points off the bench for the Mountaineers. In addition, fan favorite Spencer Macke got his first points of his Mountaineer career with 2 free throws from a Nicholls State technical foul. D’Angelo Hunter, in his return to to the Coliseum, paced the Colonels with 14 points and 4 rebounds.
West Virginia will next play at Youngstown State on Dec. 21st before taking a break for Christmas. The Mountaineers will then resume play on Dec. 29th against the #3 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in Cleveland.
