Taz Makes His Decision

Tajzmel “Taz” Sherman is officially a Mountaineer. Sherman chose West Virginia over Utah, SMU, Texas Tech, Cincinnati and Oklahoma State.
Sherman averaged 25.9 points, 4.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds for Collin Community College in Texas. He shot 39% from 3-point range and 87% from the foul line.
What was once a glaring weakness on the Mountaineer roster is suddenly a strength with the additions of Sean McNeil and Tajzmel Sherman. The two new additions will seemingly be in competition against each other for the starting shooting guard position.
Taz teased that he would be making his announcement today at 4 p.m. CST.

Mountaineer fans along with fans from the other teams that were pursuing Taz were waiting for the announcement. Just before 4 p.m. CST, Taz went live to make the announcement on Twitter.

Bob Huggins has really beefed up the incoming recruiting class for the Mountaineers, adding Taz and Sean McNeil to the already strong duo of Miles McBride and Oscar Tshiebwe.
