Someone’s Christmas is a whole lot better thanks to a former Mountaineer. Tavon Austin surprises a family in need with an incredible act of kindness.
The former Mountaineer star teamed up with Rams teammate Robert Quinn and LA Family Hosing. They presented Shwonna Cox and her six children a fully furnished apartment this week.
From an article by Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times, Quinn and Austin paid for all of the furniture for the four-bedroom apartment. That’s not all. They also purchased Christmas gifts so the family has presents under their tree.

This is the second year in a row that Austin and Quinn teamed up to help a family transition out of homelessness. Last year they furnished another family’s apartment on their dime.
The Cox family was placed in interim housing, but the wildfires in Los Angeles forced them to move two times.
“I always want to do something to help a person,” Tavon Austin said. “You can’t help everybody in the world but at least you can get to one, and that’s where my heart has always been, so that’s what is to me. I just feel good they have a place to rest their head and call a place home.”
What a selfless act by the former Mountaineer. Tavon Austin you are making your fans back in West Virginia very proud.
