Sagaba Konate’s Knee is Healed!

Share

Sagaba Konate, West Virginia University’s most elite shot-blocker in program history, competed in the NBA’s Developmental G League Elite Camp today and all signs point to his knee problems being a non-issue now.

Konate finished with a double-double, scoring 11 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.  He shot 5-14 from the field and, undoubtedly attempting to prove to NBA Scouts that he has improved his outside game, shot 1-5 from three point range.

In addition to recording a double-double, Konate was all over the court and disrupted the other team defensively throughout the game.  The following highlight shows Konate running the floor and coming up with the block shot:

Konate’s “Team 2” beat “Team 1” 77-76.  The top players from today’s game will be invited to participate in the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.  Stay tuned to Mountaineer Sports for more information when it becomes available!
