Sagaba Konate Makes it Official

Share

Sagaba Konate has made it official.  He will pursue his dream of playing in the NBA.  He has submitted his name for this year’s NBA Draft and intends to sign with an agent.

According to Bob Huggins, “Every kid who plays basketball growing up has a dram of playing in the NBA and we wish Sags nothing but the best as he chases that dream.”  This is likely a relief for Bob Huggins, as he would like to move forward and past the distractions of whether Konate would return or not.

Konate, the all-time best shot-blocker in WVU history, averaged 13.6 points and 8.0 rebounds in 8 games last year as a Junior.  We hope Sags all the success in the world and will be cheering him on as he pursues his dream.
