The Mountaineers are in the home stretch of their 2021 football season. Though things haven’t gone exactly as planned, there is still a chance for this team to become bowl eligible over the next three weeks.

Today, I am going to give my predictions for the final three games, and reveal whether or not I believe they will make a bowl game in 2021.

11/13: at Kansas State

This has been a game I felt good about all season. However, with how the Mountaineer offensive line performed in Saturday’s loss to Oklahoma State, and the Wildcat pass rush that has been on a tear as of late, those feelings have since died. I think it will be competitive, but I believe Kansas State will notch their first win against WVU since 2015.

Kansas State 27, WVU 21…WVU’s record: 4-6 (2-5)

11/20: Texas

Bowl eligibility will rely on this game. It all comes down to this. The Longhorns have completely fell apart this season. Now they are dealing with potential injuries to star players, and Coach Steve Sarkisian will have to figure things out quickly. I believe that the Mountaineers will send their seniors out on the right note with one final win in Morgantown.

WVU 31, Texas 27…WVU’s record: 5-6 (3-5)

11/27: at Kansas

This is the easiest prediction on the remaining schedule. It’s honestly not worth giving a reason behind. The Mountaineers get the easy win in Lawrence.

WVU 38, Kansas 13…WVU’s record: 6-6(4-5)

There you have it, folks. I have the Mountaineers making it to bowl season, but just barely.
