Pat McAfee Named ‘Punter of the Decade’ by Pro Football Focus

Former Mountaineer Pat McAfee was named punter of the decade by Pro Football Focus. His 95.3 grade was almost three points higher than the next punter, Thomas Morstead.

The talented McAfee walked away from the game after the 2016 season, despite having at least a few good years left in the tank. It’s hard to imagine his after-football career being any more successful. He has an extremely successful podcast and has appeared on everything from ESPN College GameDay to WWE.

When learning about being on the team, McAfee responded as only he can.

“I wasn’t on the NFL 100 All-Time Team but I was on the Pro Football Focus All-Decade Team, I had no idea I was that good.”

Pat has been driving the #retire5 campaign to get Pat White’s jersey No. 5 retired at WVU.
