It's Official: Kwantel Raines Signs With WVU

Though it comes as no surprise at this point, it’s always sweet to pull one out of Pitt’s backyard. Kwantel Raines signs with WVU.

Raines verbally committed to the Mountaineers back in October. With Raines a first cousin of current Mountaineer safety Dravon Askew-Henry, that definitely gave WVU a leg up in the competition. Additional to that, the Mounties were the first to the party, meaning they were the first to offer the Aliquippa native. Just days after the Mountaineer loss to Oklahoma State, Raines let it be known he plans on being a Mountaineer. He chose WVU over Pittsburgh and Penn State.
