The West Virginia Roughriders have given local fans a big reason to come check them out. The Roughriders signed running back/wide receiver Noel Devine to join the team for the 2019 season.

While at West Virginia University, Noel Devine was a Heisman finalist. The Roughriders are based out of Wheeling and will be playing indoor football in the WesBanco Arena.

Devine ran for over 5,000 yards during his collegiate career, joining Pat White and Avon Cobourne as the only Mountaineers to do so. He also holds the record for longest run in bowl history for the Mountaneers, with his 65 yard touchdown run against Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

“I’m excited to be back in West Virginia,” said Devine, “Ready to play once again, in front of the greatest fans in the world.”

Devine brought many great memories to West Virginia fans.
