NBA Combine Invite for Konate?

Sagaba Konate, who scored 11 points and 12 rebounds on 5-14 from the field and 1-5 from three point range during a scrimmage game at the G League Elite Camp, was not one of ten players invited to participate in the NBA Combine.  The G League Elite Camp always picks approximately the top ten players and they advance to participate in the actual NBA Combine in Chicago.  The following players were picked to move on to the NBA Combine:

This is yet another setback for Konate as he pursues his dream of playing in the NBA.  At this point, it doesn’t feel like returning to West Virginia University is a realistic option for him for some reason, but his hopes of playing professionally in the NBA continues to diminish each day.

As always, we wish Sags all the luck in the world regardless of what he chooses for his future.  For what it’s worth, he looked outstanding running the floor and blocking a shot during today’s scrimmage:
