Memphis Grizzlies Sign Jevon Carter to Multi-Year Contract
Memphis Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace announced that second round draft pick and Mountaineer great Jevon Carter was signed to a multi-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team policy.
Carter was selected 32nd overall in the 2018 NBA Draft. During his senior season as a Mountaineer, carter was named the 2017-18 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year along with being the back-to-back Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. He averaged 17.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 3.03 steals per game. He was named a consensus second team All-American.

During his time in Morgantown, Carter became the all-time leader in steals at West Virginia University, with 330. He also set the single-season records for steals (112) and assists (246).
Currently, Jevon is competing in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Through five games he is averaging 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals.
