Father of WVU Guard D’Angelo Hunter Rips Bob Huggins on Twitter
With their opening game of the NCAA Tournament on the horizon, Coach Huggins wants to keep distractions to a minimum. This won’t help. The father of WVU guard D’Angelo Hunter took to Twitter to rip Bob Huggins.
Hunter appears in 18 games this season. He only averaged 5.8 minutes a game. This past offseason he transferred to West Virginia from Navarro College.
His dad took to Twitter to attack Bob Huggins and the Mountaineer coaches for how they are handling his son. We nabbed these screenshots just in case he deletes them.
This story was discovered over at Smoking Musket, but their story has since been deleted.
It’s pretty obvious that Hunter’s father is upset about his son’s lack of playing time. He says Bob Huggins and his assistants are giving Hunter less than they promised.
It’s pretty obvious this isn’t the best way to approach an issue you have with Bob Huggins.
Will Hunter get in the game against Murray State? Don’t count on it. Especially since he wasn’t even ont he team flight and he wasn’t seen at the WVU shootaround today. But tune in Friday at 4 p.m. ET on TNT to find out for sure.
The tweets from his dad have caused a social media stir, and we didn’t spot D’Angelo Hunter at #WVU shootaround today. Source confirms Hunter did not make the flight.

I know D’Angelo Hunter doesn’t play much but all that drama mixed in with the Wesley Harris stuff has me a little worried about team focus. Good news is we play so many guys; if guys aren’t performing we can take them out.
