David Long Jr. Announces He Is Entering the 2019 NFL Draft

West Virginia junior linebacker David Long Jr. has announced he is skipping his senior season and entering the 2019 NFL Draft.
Long made his announcement on Twitter Sunday morning.

“I would like to thank Coach Holgorsen and Coach Gibson for giving me a chance that not many people get. Thank you for staying on me and coaching me to be the best player and person I can be. I cam very grateful for everything. With that being said I have talked with family and prayed over it numerous times and I have decided to forgo my senior year and enter the 2019 NFL Draft. This has been my dream since I was young and I thank everyone that has supported me along the way. I will continue to represent this great state and program wherever I go.”
During his junior season Long had 111 total tackles to go along with 19 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
