D'Angelo Hunter Set To Transfer From WVU

According to an Instagram post D’Angelo Hunter will not be with the West Virginia Mountaineers for the 2018-2019 season.

Hunter’s Instagram post read: “First off I want to thank Bob Huggins and the University of West Virginia for everything they have helped accomplish through out the year! I will be re opening my recruitment for my senior year!”

The Instagram post was private, but it was made available on Twitter.

This might not come as a surprise for anyone who checked out the tirade his father went on recently. Hunter’s father tore into Bob Huggins on Twitter. Hunter has not been getting many minutes this season and averaged 1.5 points per game when he did play. He was missing in action for West Virginia’s first two NCAA Tournament games.

Up next the Mountaineers will take on No. 1 seed Villanova. They are one of only two No. 1 seeds remaining in the tournament. In order to get to this point West Virginia took down Murray State in the first round by a final score of 85-68 and then Marshall in the second round by a final score of 94-71.
