Could Quentin Williams be the Next Blue Chip Defensive Lineman to Commit to WVU?

In recent years, West Virginia has been able to land some blue chip defensive linemen. Sure, a lot of that can be contributed to the Stills brothers, which were legacy recruits. Additional to that, Dana Holgorsen and staff were able to land highly sought after transfer Kenny Bigelow and JUCO defensive end Taijh Alston is part of the class of 2019. Could Quentin Williams be the next blue chip defensive lineman to land in Morgantown? Neal Brown is looking to make some big-time signings with the 2020 class.

Well, so far so good. On Friday night Williams narrowed his list down to the top five and the Mountaineers are in the hunt. The other five teams listed: Louisville, Miami, North Carolina and Virginia Tech.

A Mountaineer fan responded to Williams’ tweet with an awesome video of the Mountaineer fans packing the house in Charlotte when the Mountaineers crushed Tennessee 40-14 at Bank of American Stadium.

This was especially relevant because his hometown is Charlotte, North Carolina.

Can Neal Brown and Company take a deep dive into ACC country and bring a top shelf defensive lineman prospect back to Morgantown? It’s time to start planning for life after the Stills brothers and a commit from Williams would go a long way toward doing that.

Williams not only has his top five in place, but also a timeline for making his decision. He’s expected to stay home and attend the University of North Carolina, but Neal Brown may have something to say about that.
