How Bad Does Florida Miss Will Grier?

Way Too Early Heisman Odds Include Will Grier

Florida’s passing game has been an embarrassment all season. How bad does Florida miss Will Grier? He had as many touchdown passes against Baylor as Florida has all season.

Will Grier is spending Saturdays torching opposing defenses for the Mountaineers instead of the Gators. With a year of eligibility left, Grier should be even better a year from now. If Grier returns for his senior season he will be the top returning quarterback in the Big 12 with Mason Rudolph and Baker Mayfield set to graduate. On top of that he will also be one of the best quarterbacks in the country.

The Grier to Sills combo has became one of the most dangerous combos in college football. Not only does Sills lead the nation in receiving touchdowns, but there are also 93 FBS teams that have less touchdowns than Sills has by himself. A staple for WVU success this season has been Will Grier finding David Sills in the end zone.

At 5-2, the Mountaineers still have a chance to make their way into the conference title game. WVU is tied with Iowa State, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State and have all three teams left on their schedule.

No matter what happens the rest of the season we can safely assume that Florida would much rather have Will Grier playing quarterback.
