Josh Gray, the 7’0 center from Millbrook, NY, recently picked up an offer from West Virginia University.  Gray currently has offers from UCONN, Georgia, LSU, Rhode Island, Rutgers, St. John’s and of course recently from West Virginia.  Although he is not currently rated by 247 Sports or Rivals, he clearly has a raw potential that has drawn the interest of some big-time programs.

Gray currently averages 5.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game for the PSA Cardinals which is based in New York.

Adam Zagoria of of ZagsBlog recently spoke to the Head Coach of the PSA Cardinals Issac Green and he said of Gray, “Josh has two elite skills of rim protecting and rebounding.  He’s learning to embrace the idea of being a star in his role while staying eager and hungry to improve his game.”  The Director of of the Cardinals told ZagsBlog, ““Josh is a Intelligent kid inside an NBA frame.  He has a chance to be as good as he wants to be as long as he continues to work. I’m excited to see which schools come along in his recruitment. “

West Virginia desperately needs to add depth and size.   Bob Huggins is a master of taking raw potential and molding it into something productive and effective.  Gray seems like an outstanding fit to get early minutes behind Derek Culver, Oscar Tshiebwe and Logan Routt in 2020.
