MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (November 19, 2014) – West Virginia University Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Oliver Luck, in conjunction with the Big 12 Conference, has announced the 2015 football schedule. Seven home dates and five road games comprise the upcoming slate.
“Seven home games return in 2015, and I think our fans and the Morgantown community will appreciate the extra game and another chance to see the team play at Milan Puskar Stadium,” Luck said. “The rivalry with Maryland returns at home for the first time since 2012, and the Big 12 schedule week-to-week will be a great test for our team.”
The Mountaineers open the season with three home dates, Sept. 5 against Georgia Southern, Liberty on Sept. 12 and after an open week, Maryland on Sept. 26.
West Virginia’s Big 12 Conference home dates include Oklahoma State (Oct. 10), Texas Tech (Nov. 7), Texas (Nov. 14) and Iowa State (Nov. 28). Road conference games include Oklahoma (Oct. 3), Baylor (Oct. 17), TCU (Thursday, Oct. 29), Kansas (Nov. 21) and Kansas State (Dec. 5).
“Our schedule will be very competitive, with our non-conference opponents and the always-tough Big 12 slate,” WVU Coach Dana Holgorsen said. “The 2015 schedule will bring great challenges and great opportunities for our program.”
The times and television schedule will be announced at a later time. All dates are subject to change.
